Big, big and bigger...

Just when you think you can't get any bigger, you do. At only 28 weeks I already feel like I could pop. Can't imagine how big I'll be at 40 weeks. (Well, really I can because I am about the same as with my other pregnancies.)

Oh, and just FYI... At absolutely NO time is it okay to ask a pregnant woman when the baby is due and then, with eyes wide open, say "wow." Let me translate wow - "Good Lord, you still have 3 months left? You are huge!"

Most if not all pregnant women know they are big. Actually, we tend to think we are bigger than we actually are. ("Bigger" also including how much weight we have gained and how big our butts have gotten.) There is no need for anyone else to inform of us this fact. We already know. And even if a woman has great sense of self-worth and self-esteem, she will still have some issues with her body image during pregnany. It is normal.

So if you have nothing positive or nice to say to a pregnant woman concerning the huge watermelon she carries on her waist or the extra-large trunk she now sports on the back side please don't say anything at all.

As you can see, I am worked up. GRRRRR...

Fun Day Outside

When Bryson goes to Kindergarten we won't be able to do stuff like this anymore so I took advantage of the nice day and got the kiddie pool and slip-n-slide out for the boys. They had fun!

Bryson's 5 Year Old Checkup

Last month Bryson has his "big" checkup. I call it big because he got his shots for kindergarten (4 shots and 1 fingerprick). I wasn't sure how he would respond or act. Jay came to help watch Jayson because if things got a little hairy, then Jay could take Jayson out of the room. I didn't want Jayson to see Bryson crying.

But lo and behold Bryson did not cry once. Not once. He said "ouch" with each shot and tensed up but he never cried. He actually wanted to watch the whole thing. On the last shot he did a weird "owww owww owww" sound but that was it. He told me afterwards he might have cried if there had been one more shot.

To be honest with you, I was a little disappointed that he didn't seem to need me during the process. Isn't that crazy!?!? Pregnancy hormones I guess and it is just another sign that my baby is getting older and more independent.

Bryson weighed in at 51 lbs (95%) and was 48 inches (97%).

Baby Shower for Addison!

My sweet cousins threw me a baby shower today for Addison. They did such a great job! It was at the Cumberland Mountain State Park. The gals had great food and decorations. My cousin Katie headed it up. My cousins Erika and Jerri Lynn helped also. Plus more cousins and friends of my cousins were involved. It truely was a family affair! And I mean FAMILY - I even had uncles, my dad, and Jay there.

Thanks girls! Also, thanks to Aunt Diana and Renee and to everyone else who helped and came!

Don't worry, they survived.

The lake, which was right outside where the shower was held, had plenty of geese for the boys to terrorize!

Yummy yummy yummy!

The Kitties

A friend of was giving away baby cats so we decided to give it a try. It was a trial run because Bryson has had some ill reactions to cats in the past. We were hoping it was a fluke and that he would be fine. He was okay the 1st evening but by the 2nd evening his eyes were watering and his nose was running. We decided to give the cats back. I hated it for the boys - they LOVED the cats. Maybe when they are a little bigger (and hopefully Bryson will have outgrown this allergy) we'll try again.

We had the cats for 2 days. They boys named the sandy one Cinnamon and the white ope Sugar. The first night Sugar took off for the woods and stayed there the entire night. We weren't sure we'd be able to get her in the garage. But after much work and luring, Jay got her in the garage. They were so sweet!

Bryson did good when we took the cats back. He understands he is allergic and it's not a good idea to be around cats right now. He did tell me he wanted a dog and that he's asking Santa for one. :) As for the cats it is probably a good idea we took them back because Jayson LOVED to hold them. He could be a little rough at times. Cinnamon actually bit him once because he was holding the cat by her neck. And I don't know how he did it but one minute he wouldn't be holding the cat and the next minute he had it. He had a way of catching the cats.

Sugar, after some effort, finally got used to us.

Cinnamon immediately took us to and didn't venture far from the garage.

Sugar was generally wilder than Cinnamon but spending a night in the woods didn't help her either.
It took her a while to warm up to us.

More 4th of July Pictures

More pictures from the 4th of July. Yeah yeah, I know I'm behind... :)

"Going to the chapel and we're gonna get married!"

My little sister is getting married! The wedding is next month and will be in Naples, Florida. ROAD TRIP! I can't believe it is right around the corner.

I threw Andrea a bridal shower at Mom and Dad's for our family. We had fun and ate lots of good food and Andrea got a lot of great stuff.

Man, I feel old...

Jayson's Boo-Boo

Jayson got his first major boo-boo the other day. He was holding himself up on our patio furniture between two chairs. Bryson was sitting in one of the chairs. Bryson moved the chair suddenly and Jayson lost his hold and fell face first, hitting his head on the arm of the chair.

It made a pretty big knot (that is still there) and cut the skin a little. It bled immediatly but stopped soon after as it wasn't a deep cut. The bruising mainly is from the knot.

Anyway, he is fine and talks about his "boo-boo on my head" quite often.

The day of the accident.
