Counting Down the Days

We are at 4 days and counting... Still no signs of Baby Addison's arrival but she will get here one way or another.

Less than 2 weeks...

We are in the home stretch! In a way I can't believe I am here and at the same time it seems like I have been pregnant forever. One thing is for certain, ready or not, Addison will be born very soon.

I see my OB on Friday so hopefully we'll have some idea what is going on and what to expect. I imagine my doctor won't let me go past my due date since the boys were so big. My due date is Nov. 4th. We'll see...

Halloween came a little early at our house...


This isn't what the boys are wearing but they wanted to play dress-up and this is what they put on. Bryson is Dash from The Incredibles and we're calling Jayson Patchy the Pirate from Spongebob Squarepants.

Boo at the Zoo

The Nashville Zoo at Grassmere has an annual Halloween smash called Ghouls at Grassmere. We call it Boo at the Zoo. The boys dressed up and we met our friends there with their kids. You walk through the zoo and there are treat/candy stations throughout. There are games, slides, hayrides and a Monster Lab to walk through. Very good fun!

The boys were invited to their friend Luke's birthday party which was at Hunt Ridge Farm in Franklin. The kids rode horses and ponies, painted ponies, fed the animals, and had a good ole' time!

I can't believe Jayson actually rode the horse. But he jumped sat on it like it was second nature.

I am so impressed. The owners let Bryson steer the horse by himself and he actually did it!

Jayson's New Do!

I figured NOW is the time to get everything and anything done because I may be stuck at home for a while after Addison is born. So I took Jayson to get his hair cut today. And we went with a "big boy" cut.

He pitched a fit at first which is totally not like him. I have been blessed that both my boys enjoy getting their hair cut and sit so still and quiet. I didn't quite know what to do with him but after the hair stylist started trimming his hair he got all quiet and looked as if he was in a trance. He earned a trip to McDonald's for being such a good boy!

Kindergarten Fall Party

Bryson's kindergarten class had a Fall party. (They are not allowed to call it Halloween.) I was unable to go due to Jayson's nap schedule but Jay was there as was my friends Jamie, whose daughter Caymin is in the same class, and Holly.


The kids played games, did a craft, and had lots of snacks. I think Bryson had a really good time!

Walk to School Day

Bryson's school had an official Walk to School Day on Oct. 10th. Since we live about 3.5 miles from the school, walking to and back was not an option for me in my current state. :) But we did meet at Bryson's cousin's house and he walked with his cousin Aidan (who is in 1st grade), Brett, and Aidan's Grammy. I drove the car and met them at school so I could get some pictures. Bryson loved it! Maybe after the baby is born we can make a few trips like that to school.

Aidan lives a little closer to school. So what would have been a 45 minute walk from our house was only about 30 minutes.

Fun at the Zoo

Jayson and I made a trip to the zoo and had a great time! I'm trying to fill our time with fun things to do before Addison is born. Jayson had a great time and didn't fight me on pushing the stroller (for a change).

Jayson loves the Merkats and the "big tats." (Big cats, meaning Tigers and Lynxes.) He also loves the fish and snakes in The Unseen World.
