Words of Praise

Blessed be your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's all as it should be
Blessed be your name

Blessed be your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be your name

Welcome Brooklyn!

My friend Holly had her baby girl Brooklyn on April 21st. She was 7 lbs 14.5 oz and 21 inches long. Beautiful with a headful of dark brown hair! It is amazing how much she looks like Lucas.

Congrats to Holly, David and Lucas!
Here is Holly's blog to see more picture of Brooklyn.

Fun Run

And a fun run it was!

Bryson's school had a fundraiser they called the Fun Run. Bryson ran a total of 14 laps and raised money for his school. The class who raised the most money won a prize and the kid in each class who raised the most money won a prize.

Bryson raised the most money and won a medal. And his class raised over $800 (the most in the entire school) and won the prize - a popcorn party. Thanks to everyone who contributed. He had a blast doing it!

And they're off!

Finished lap #1. He ran 14 total.

Every time Bryson ran by the mascot he had to give him five.

Jay and Jayson got in on the action.

Aunt Jill showed up to cheer Bryson on. Aidan's run was after Bryson's.

Bryson's class and mascot, the Cardinal.

Addison at the awards ceremony.

Bryson's Class - they raised over $800. The school raised over $14,000!

Bryson and Caymin. Caymin won a medal for running the most laps in their class.

Winner! :)

Jayson - My Big Helper

Not to be outdone by Bryson, Jayson had a go at feeding Addison.

Red Pajamas

You gotta love this kid!

Oz the Musical

I heard from a friend of mine that at the local dance studio auditions were being held for kids ages 6-12 to be in Oz the Musical performing this summer at the Ryman.

So I took Bryson. He tried out along with his friend Caymin and cousins Charley and Aidan. All made it!!! The parents weren't allowed to watch but from what I hear the kids got in groups of 4 or 5 and did a dance routine and were judged.

He will be a Munchkin! The performance will be in June.

Addison - 6 months old!

Hard to believe my sweet baby girl is halfway to the 1 year mark. Where does the time go?

We had her 6 month checkup the other day. She got 3 shots and did great. She cried but was fine when I picked her up. I am thankful my kids have handled their shots well. She was 27 inches (93%) and was 14 lbs and 11 oz (23%). Long and lean!

We're also trying out some real food. She's doesn't like or dislike baby food but LOVES real food. So we've taken things slow and tried out some real stuff - watermelon, potatoes, rice, etc. She loves it!

She's not crawling yet but she can roll all over the floor. And she is creeping so crawling isn't far off. And praise the Lord, she is finally sleeping through the night!!! Last night she slept from 7:30 pm until 6:30 am.

We're having a lot of fun with her! The boys love her and do so well with her. I couldn't have asked for more!

Sunday School Debut

Addison made her first trip to Sunday school about a month ago. Her teacher is Mrs. Calahan - who happens to be Bryson's kindergarten teacher. :) She didn't like it too much when we left her but I think she was tired and needed a nap. The only time she has ever cried when we left her was when I had the camera. Otherwise she does great and looks so sweet sitting in the little seats. *sniff sniff*
She's wearing a dress that my sister and I wore as babies.

The look on her face says, "Hold up, you meam you're leaving me???"

Poor thing! She really does like it, I promise. She was just tired this day.
When we picked up her she was sleeping in the teacher's arms. :)

Happy Mother's Day

Hope all you mommies and grandmommies had a wonderful Mother's Day!

We traveled to Sparta to go to church with Mimi. Had lunch at their house. Then made the trip back home to have dinner with Meema. And sorry Meema! I don't know what I was thinking but I didn't get any pictures of you and your kids. ((smacks head))

Jay and the boys got me a iPod nano for Mother's Day. I have listened to it non-stop ever since! The boys made me planters. And Bryson hade several cards. I love it all!!!

Jay took the boys to Lowes on Saturday for kid's time - they get to make things.
This time it was a planter for moms for Mother's Day.

The finished product! And I love them!

Pure sweetness!

My 3 little blessings!
