The Day Has Come

Unless by some miracle Addison decides to come on her own TODAY we are inducing labor tomorrow morning. I'll be 41 weeks then. I could safely go to 42 weeks. Had some tests done last Friday and baby looked GREAT. She was nice and comfy where she was. But I am tired and ready and waiting a week past my due date is enough for me. I waited 2 weeks past my due date with Bryson and I was miserable.

So anyway, tomorrow is the day. Keep us in your prayers!

40 Weeks

This is my 40 and 1/2 weeks picture. Bryson took it so it is a little off center. :)

Still waiting...

Still waiting...

Well, Addison is still not here. My kids must like where they are just fine because none of them were (and are) in any hurry to leave. lol

I am 2 days past my due date. I see my doctor tomorrow for some routine tests to make sure everything is alright. If Addison hasn't made her debut by Nov. 11th we'll induce then. (Unless I get a wild hair and want to wait it out even longer...)

I had made more progress at my 40 week checkup. And the past 4 days I've been feeling contractions but nothing that sticks or puts me into full-blown labor. Keep your fingers crossed that it happens soon!

Due Date is Here...

I have reached my due date. It is hard to believe that I have been pregnant for 40 weeks, roughly 10 months.

Thankfully I feel good. Have aches and pains and not sleeping well but those are minor things that I can live through.

Still no major signs of Addison's birth. Bryson was 2 weeks lated and induced. He was a stubborn little booger. I didn't give Jayson a chance to be late - was induced 3 days prior to due date with him. But if I had to guess, he would have been late too. My kids like their mom I guess. :)

I see my doctor again today so maybe we'll know something then. I'll keep you posted.

Counting Down the Days

We are at 4 days and counting... Still no signs of Baby Addison's arrival but she will get here one way or another.

Less than 2 weeks...

We are in the home stretch! In a way I can't believe I am here and at the same time it seems like I have been pregnant forever. One thing is for certain, ready or not, Addison will be born very soon.

I see my OB on Friday so hopefully we'll have some idea what is going on and what to expect. I imagine my doctor won't let me go past my due date since the boys were so big. My due date is Nov. 4th. We'll see...

Me at 38 weeks... Bryson took this picture. :)

In the home stretch...

Only 23 days to go... At my last OB visit (at 36 weeks 1 day) I was 1 cm dilated and about 50% effaced. I am excited to have made some progress! I did practially nothing on my own with the boys.

And yes, it will get bigger...
Thankfully I feel good and my belly isn't causing me any great discomfort.

Baby Shower for Addison

Lots going on. Lots going on. Sorry it has taken me so long to update my blog. I've been in the process of fixing the boys' room and the nursery. And they still aren't completely done! So I've been a little busy to say the least.

Okay, my friends Jamie, Julie and Holly threw me a baby shower/girls night out at Pie in the Sky a couple of weeks ago. We had a great time and the food was awesome! I got a ton of cute stuff and am so excited to finally have a room to put in it. Better yet, I can't wait to use it!

I've swallowed a watermelon...

No, I'm not pregnant, I've just swallowed a watermelon. ;) Oh what a difference 6 weeks makes!

Big, big and bigger...

Just when you think you can't get any bigger, you do. At only 28 weeks I already feel like I could pop. Can't imagine how big I'll be at 40 weeks. (Well, really I can because I am about the same as with my other pregnancies.)

Oh, and just FYI... At absolutely NO time is it okay to ask a pregnant woman when the baby is due and then, with eyes wide open, say "wow." Let me translate wow - "Good Lord, you still have 3 months left? You are huge!"

Most if not all pregnant women know they are big. Actually, we tend to think we are bigger than we actually are. ("Bigger" also including how much weight we have gained and how big our butts have gotten.) There is no need for anyone else to inform of us this fact. We already know. And even if a woman has great sense of self-worth and self-esteem, she will still have some issues with her body image during pregnany. It is normal.

So if you have nothing positive or nice to say to a pregnant woman concerning the huge watermelon she carries on her waist or the extra-large trunk she now sports on the back side please don't say anything at all.

As you can see, I am worked up. GRRRRR...

Baby Shower for Addison!

My sweet cousins threw me a baby shower today for Addison. They did such a great job! It was at the Cumberland Mountain State Park. The gals had great food and decorations. My cousin Katie headed it up. My cousins Erika and Jerri Lynn helped also. Plus more cousins and friends of my cousins were involved. It truely was a family affair! And I mean FAMILY - I even had uncles, my dad, and Jay there.

Thanks girls! Also, thanks to Aunt Diana and Renee and to everyone else who helped and came!

A cute idea of Katie's - she took one of my ultrasound pictures and put in this cute frame.

One of my many cute gifts! How fun!!!

The poor men-folk who were forced to come along...
Don't worry, they survived.

Jayson helping me open gifts. Bryson was the gift passer.

The cake!

The lake, which was right outside where the shower was held, had plenty of geese for the boys to terrorize!

Yummy yummy yummy!

More yummies!

Counting down the days...

I am officially 25 weeks. Hard to believe. At times I feel this pregnancy has flown by and other times it goes by so slow - guess that all depends on my mood and how I'm feeling physically.

I've bought a few things for the baby, which is exciting. And I'm hoping to start the boys' room soon. Then I can focus on the nursery. So much to do!

This picture was taken at 24 weeks.

What will she look like?

I find myself wondering what Baby Addison will look like. Will she look anything like her brothers? Will she have a head-full of hair? Will she be 9 lbs like her brothers? (Yep, I like to grow 'em big...)

Here are some pictures of Bryson and Jayson at their births. Guess we'll have to wait on Addison...

Addison's Bedding

I am such a weirdo! I have 4 months left in this pregnancy but I am already stressing. Crib bedding, moving Jayson to a big-boy-bed AND into Bryson's room (which will need to be painted because their new bedding doesn't match the current color in the room), painting Addison's room, and potty-training Jayson before this baby comes. But for those who know me well, I guess this isn't a big surprise. I am a mega-planner!

Yesterday I had some time to kill in the Green Hills area so we stopped by Pottery Barn Kids at the mall. I had no intensions of getting anything - just wasting time. But I spotted this lavender and white striped bumper. I found it was on clearance, along with the fitted crib sheet and bed skirt. I couldn't pass it up. And it was exactly what I was looking for - something feminine but not overbearing (especially not pink). No offense to the color pink, I just don't want it in the baby's room. ;)

So one goal down, and many more to go...

The Complete Set

The bumper pad, which immediately caught my eye.

My First Baby Gift!

Thanks to my sweet friend Holly for giving me a baby gift today for Addison. It was a nice surprise and much needed. I have nothing for a girl! Thanks again Holly. Love ya!

Pink, Pink, and more Pink

Well, looks like I'm moving into the world of blues and greens to PINK. We found out last week we will be blessed with a little girl this November! Bryson wanted a girl, so looks like he got his wish. When we told him what "it" was, he said, "Yes, I knew it!"

Now the next tasks are to potty-train Jayson and eventually get him into a big-boy bed and into Bryson's room. The boys will share a room with 2 twin beds and Little Miss will have Jayson's old room. That actually scares me more than a newborn. She'll be a piece of cake. The challenge will be Bryson AND Jayson in the same room. Oh boy...
