I am trying to figure out all the neat things you can do with the blog. As a result you may notice some changes. It is a work in progress. I have yet to figure it all out.
So sorry for the mess. We are currently under construction!

Holly's Baby Shower
Sorry Holly is has taken me so long to get these posted!
A few weeks ago Julie, Jamie and I gave Holly a baby shower. We went to Carrabbas for dinner. We got cupcakes from Gigi's Cupcakes - thanks Diane! - and they were AWESOME! Holly got some really cute stuff. Lots and lots of pink!
I had to take Addison with me and she was just perfect. I hardly saw her that night - she was passed around quite a bit. :)
Can't wait for little Brooklyn to arive!

Happy Saint Patty's Day!
The day before Saint Patrick's Day Bryson came home from school and asked if leprechauns were real. I told him, sure, as real as Santa or the Easter Bunny.
So Bryson proceeded to lay a trap to catch a leprechaun. He is a big fan of Man vs. Wild and said he would set up a trap like Bear Grylls does on his show. :) Jayson oversaw the project. The boys set out chocolate and fake coins as bait.
The morning of St. Patrick's Day the boys awoke to find the little green man had tripped the trap but got away and eaten all the chocolate and taken the "gold." A little trail of chocolate wrappers led to the back door.

Jayson New Ears
Jayson had surgery on his ears and throat on March 4th. He had fluid buildup that was causing mild hearing loss. So the doctor sucked out the glue-like fluid, put tubes in to allow proper drainage, and also scraped out Jayson's adnoids. The adnoids were enlarged and infected and didn't help with drainage.
Thanks to Meema for watching Addison. That allowed Jay and I to give Jayson our undevided attention at the surgery center.
Jayson was given a little concoction of meds that calmed and relaxed him. We walked him as far as the surgery room door and a nurse took him from that point. He cried a little but the last view we got of his face he was mad and gave us a "I'm not happy with you" kind of look. (Hey, I can handle mad at us over crying for us. I might not have let him go if he was really crying for us.) The surgery was about 20 minutes. It took about 30 mintues to fully wake up. Because of the adnoids, Jayson was put to sleep so he had an IV. That was removed and we were soon free to go home.
He did throw up on the way home but after that was fine. Jayson was in and out of sleep for the ride home. On our stop to pick up Addison, we stayed at Meema's house for about an hour and he slept on my lap most of that time. When we got home he was ready to eat. (Poor thing hadn't eaten since 8 pm the night before.)
Mimi, Papa and Uncle Kurt came to visit that afternoon. Much to their surprise Jayson was running and jumping around. Couldn't tell the kid had just had surgery!
I of course forgot my camera at the hospital so I took a picture of Jayson right when he got home.

Had his followup yesterday and his ears and throat were "crystal clear." Yay! Because his hearing loss (due to fluid) was only mild, there wasn't a drastic change in his hearing BUT we can tell a difference. Jayson is able to hear us whisper which he wasn't able to do that before. The doctor said hearing for Jayson was like hearing with your fingers in your ears or listening underwater.
Anyway, he is great now!
