Jayson's Hearing Test

If you recall Jayson had tubes put in his ears to help fluid drain. The fluid was causing mild hearing loss. So now that his ears are clear we had his hearing retested.

He did great. I was able to stay in the room with him. (I also had Bryson and Addison with me...) Jayson sat and followed directions and looked like such a big boy. He is getting so big! He still had some mild hearing loss in the high range but everything else was above normal. Normal is 20 decibels and he was in the 10-15 range. In the high range he was at 30. We were told this was nothing that needed to be corrected. So Jayson is good to go!!!

As a special treat we went to Chuck E. Cheese afterwards. (It was also Bryson's Spring Break.)

Jay and I joke that maybe getting the tubes was a bad idea because now Jayson won't shut up! He talks CONSTANTLY! :)

Time for Some REAL Food!

Addison is eating some solids now. We've tried out rice cereal, peas, sweet potatoes (which she LOVES) and squash. She's only eating real food once a day and we're slowly introducing new foods. Some days she seems to like it and other days she seems to get bored with it. But I guess she'll catch on soon enough! Bryson loves to feed her. If it's not too messy of a food then I'm all for it! :)

He is Risen!

I hope you had a blessed and happy Easter Sunday!

Gatlinburg

In February we went to Gatlinburg for a weekend trip. Got a cabin in the mountains with it's own hottub which the boys LOVED. Everyone had their own rooms. Had a beautiful view of the mountains. Addison was such a good baby. She never cried, took great naps, and slept good. She had her own room so that helped. The boys bedroom was in the upstairs loft, which they loved. They could see the den and kitchen from the balcony. The downstairs level had a pool table and the hottub.

We hiked to Laurel Falls on our second day. The boys tested me by getting as close as they could to the edge. I nearly had a panic attack so we had to cut the sightseeing short. Seriously, the drop off is like 100 feet! But the boys were oblivious to that! They also conned their daddy into taking them to the bottom of the falls. We ate at the Old Mill our first evening. I have never been there before so we decided to try it out. It was awesome! Their corn fritters was just like cake! We even had SNOW on our last day there.

Great trip!

Gatlinburg - Part 2

On our trip we also went to the Ripley's Aquarium. The boys love it and we go every time we visit Gatlinburg. Jayson loved the "Nemo" fish and Bryson was once again facinated with the jellyfish. If you haven't been I highly recommend going!
